Speaker's Bureau

About Us

Since 1984, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia has been the only state-wide organization for brain injury information, resources, advocacy, education, and outreach. Our mission is to advance education, awareness, support, treatment and research to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury.

The Brain Injury Association of Virginia’s Speakers Bureau program offers an opportunity for volunteers who are interested in public speaking and empowerment to raise public awareness about brain injury in their own community. We are creating a panel of experienced speakers who live with or have been impacted by brain injury, and are always looking for others who would be willing to speak at a variety of events, both formal and informal, to educate our audiences by sharing their experiences of living with brain injury.
