Our Funding

The Brain Injury Association of Virginia receives most of our funding through a state contract with the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) for many of our support education, outreach, public awareness, and advocacy efforts. We are also a subcontractor for DARS federal TBI State Partnership Grant (administered by the Administration for Community Living) to build and improve Virginia’s infrastructure for service delivery to individuals with brain injury.
