Transition in Leadership at the Brain Injury Association of Virginia

The Brain Injury Association of Virginia (BIAV) announces the departure of the Executive Director, David DeBiasi, effective March 11, 2024. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.

After careful consideration and with a focus on BIAV’s values and mission to serve the people of the Commonwealth affected by brain injury, the BIAV Board of Directors has engaged Linda D. Wilkinson, CFRE, to serve in an interim capacity to fill the role of Executive Director. During this transition, Ms. Wilkinson will be entrusted by the BIAV Board of Directors with the full duties and responsibilities entitled to the role of Executive Director to ensure continuity of operations, maintain our strategic momentum, and enhance our financial sustainability. She has over 25 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector, primarily in healthcare, and she has a 20+ year history helping with BIAV. We are very excited that Linda has accepted this responsibility.

BIAV remains committed to serving the brain injury community and fulfilling our mission of advancing education, awareness, support, treatment, and research to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury.

We thank our dedicated staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners for their ongoing support during this transition period.
