The Brain Injury Association of Virginia is committed to the safety and well-being of our conference attendees. We will closely monitor and follow state and federal public health guidelines related to the pandemic.

A block of rooms has been reserved at a discounted rate guaranteed until October 8, 2021 so reserve your room today! We are offering a limited number of Conference Scholarships for caregivers, individuals with a brain injury and their families. Details on scholarships included below.

Registration Details

Scholarship Information:

The Brain Injury Association of Virginia (BIAV) is able to assist a limited number of people with the cost of attending Making Headway. This assistance is available to caregivers, family members of individuals with a brain injury, and individuals with a brain injury. Scholarships are awarded based on need, date of request, and availability of funds.

Two scholarships are available: 1. Registration Fee and 2. Overnight Room. Please note: you can apply for one scholarship, not both.

Interested parties are required to submit this Scholarship Request Form. If you are applying for a registration fee scholarship for multiple family members, please complete a separate form for each individual. If you are applying for an overnight room scholarship, please place the names of the individuals staying in the room in the "Name of Applicant" portion of the form with the responsible party listed first. Room scholarships are only available to those who must travel over 100 miles to attend the event. You must complete an online Scholarship Request Form before you register for the conference.

General education CEUs from VCU will be available for this event. VCU has a requirement to directly receive CEUs for attending the conference. You must complete an Participant Learning Assessment after participating.
