Choose one of the following two activities.

  1. Mapping Your Community
    1. Think about the assets (people, organizations, institutions, programs, resources, etc.) in your community. (Community can be defined by geography or people with common interests). Generate a visual depiction of your community – it can be a list, a map, post it notes, pinned locations on a google map, or a spreadsheet – get creative. Identify at least one potential community partner from this exercise. This will help you visualize the unique assets of your community.

  1. Defining Community Engagement
    1. Read this article https://sustainingcommunity.wordpress.com/2016/02/25/introduction-community-engagement/. Choose which definition of community engagement you prefer and explain why and how it could apply to your line of work.
