Scholarship Opportunities are Still Available.

Two types of scholarships are available:
*An overnight room scholarship/travel cost (if eligible, see below)
-or-
*A registration scholarship. (please complete before registering above)
Deadline for room scholarship application: October 21, 2019
Deadline for registration scholarship application: November 1, 2019                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
If you would like a scholarship you are required to submit a scholarship request application (see below). If you are applying for a registration fee scholarship for multiple family members please complete a separate scholarship request for each individual.  If you are applying for an overnight room scholarship please place the names of the individuals staying in the room in the "Name of Applicant" portion of the form with the responsible party listed first. Room/travel scholarships are only available to those who must travel over 100 miles to attend the event.
Important information:
*Registration and breakfast begin at   10:00 a.m.
*Buffet Lunch at noon and Network   Reception from 3-4 p.m. Elizabeth Horn from the disAbility Law Center will be attending the reception to   answer any of your social security questions!
*Take advantage of the onsite spa Friday afternoon or evening and join us on Saturday for Making Headway Conference!  Make your spa     reservation today and carve out some ME time!  We will be offering coupons for spa services when you register!
*Spa not for you?  Take some time to enjoy hotel amenities: enjoy dinner, the onsite workout room, walk the grounds, or take a dip in the pool.

Join us Saturday For the Making Headway Conference!

New this year!  The Caregiver Forum will be held in Tidewater, Virginia the Friday prior to our annual Making Headway Conference! Join us just for the day or the entire weekend!

What is the Caregiver Forum? The Caregiver Forum is an educational activity of DARS' Federal Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Implementation Partnership Grant. It provides an opportunity for DARS and the Brain Injury Association of Virginia (BIAV), the primary subcontractor on DARS’ federal grant, to provide a respite opportunity to caregivers of persons with brain injury.

Who can attend the Caregiver Forum? The Caregiver Forum is designed for caregivers of persons with brain injury. Whether you are a family caregiver, or a friend caregiver, our day-long program is curated especially for you.
