About Us

The Brain Injury Association of Virginia
is a statewide, primary source of information
and personal support for individuals, families,
and professionals whose lives have been
impacted by brain injury.

How We Help

We offer free, confidential consultations and referrals to anyone impacted by brain injury via phone, website, or email.

Our Mission

We advance education, awareness, support, treatment, and research to improve the quality of life for all people impacted by brain injury.

We aren't who we are without those who work for us. Learn more about each staff member and how to get in touch.

Our Funding

The Brain Injury Association of Virginia receives most of our funding through a state contract with the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) for many of our support education, outreach, public awareness, and advocacy efforts. We are also a subcontractor for the DARS federal TBI State Partnership Grant (administered by the Administration for Community Living) to build and improve Virginia’s infrastructure for service delivery to individuals with brain injury.
