Choose one of the following two activities.
- Mapping Your Community
- Think about the assets (people, organizations, institutions, programs, resources, etc.) in your community. (Community can be defined by geography or people with common interests). Generate a visual depiction of your community – it can be a list, a map, post it notes, pinned locations on a google map, or a spreadsheet – get creative. Identify at least one potential community partner from this exercise. This will help you visualize the unique assets of your community.
- Defining Community Engagement
- Read this article https://sustainingcommunity.wordpress.com/2016/02/25/introduction-community-engagement/. Choose which definition of community engagement you prefer and explain why and how it could apply to your line of work.
