  • What is a Virtual Conference?

    A virtual conference is hosted entirely over the Internet. It will allow attendees to access live and recorded sessions from their computers. Attendees participate through a conference website page designed specifically for the virtual conference. The password protected website page is where you will watch conference presentations and participate with questions. Remember you won’t miss a thing! You can always go back and watch whatever sessions you can't attend.

  • Who Should Attend the Conference?

    The conference is open to anyone.  It is designed for individuals that have experienced a brain injury, their caregivers and the professionals that work with them.

  • What are the Tecnical Requirements Needed to Participate?

    To participate, you need an Internet connection and web browser. For the best viewing experience, we recommend that you join the conference using a supported internet browser, which includes Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not recommended, as some functions, such as chat, are not fully supported.

    If you experience buffering or issues with viewing the video stream due to your internet connection or if the video freezes refresh your screen.

    The conference will be using WebEx and GoToWebinar as the two main formats to deliver content.  You do NOT need to have a WebEx and GoToWebinar account or log into these platforms.  You just need to access the conference webpage and join from there.

  • How Do I Register?

    To register click the register now button on the conference webpage. Registration opens October 7th.  This will take you to an online form.  If you are a BIAV member, you receive a 15% discount.  If you are not sure if your membership is still active (annual fee) please email conferece@biav.net If you are not a member, you can join when you register and receive discounts to participate in our educational events.  Event registration is limited so register early.  During registration, you must choose the panel presentation you will attend that takes place Saturday afternoon. You must complete a registration form for each individual attending.

  • What Happens Once I Register?

    On November 11th  everyone will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to connect to the conference. You will receive a link to a password-protected page with the password.  This is how you will access the live presentations and recorded sessions.  Please do not share your log in information with anyone.  Access will be available until 5 p.m. on November 28th.   

  • Will I have Acess to Session Recordings if I can not Participate in the LIVE Sessions?

    All live conference sessions will be recorded and posted on this site at the end of the event, so you can view all Virtual Conference sessions at your convenience for up to 2 weeks after the event.  

  • How Much is it to Register?

    The virtual conference registration costs are:

    BIAV Members - Professionals - $95

    Professionals - $115

    BIAV Members - Family, caregivers, individuals with a brain injury - $35

     Family, caregivers, individuals with a brain injury - $55

    We are offering a limited number of Conference Scholarships – only for caregivers, individuals with a brain injury and their families -.  You must complete the scholarship application form, located on the Conference webpage, prior to registering.

  • What time does the Conference Start?

    The conference begins Friday November 13th at 5:00 p.m. with a Help Desk.  This allows you to practice logging in and asking any questions you have before the event begins. visit the Schedule webpage to see the full event schedule.
