Dr. Kim Gorgens is a Professor of Psychophysiology, Clinical Neuropsychology and Psychology of Criminal Behavior at the University of Denver. She manages a large portfolio of TBI related research, and has lectured extensively on those issues including her 2010 TED talk on youth sports concussion, a 2018 TEDxMileHigh talk on brain injuries in criminal justice, several NPR spots and an interview on CNN with Anderson Cooper.
Dr Gorgens is a knowledgeable and engaging speaker, with a dynamic teaching style. She plans to lead an interactive experience, customized to the needs of the participants, so they can walk away with strategies they can immediately implement with their clients.
A limited number of scholarship are available for members of the target audience – professionals working in fields that encounter brain injury every day, including mental health, housing, addiction recovery, probation and parole, and intimate partner violence
