Anyone who has experienced a brain injury, either their own or that of a friend or loved one, understands the worry, confusion, and stress it creates. Support groups provide a chance to learn from others who have been living with brain injury, share your own experiences, and give and get encouragement from those who really understand. Now you can search our database of local support groups online right here on our site. Just type in the name of the group (if you know it) or you can select the area of the state you live in. Then click the "Search" button below for a list of support groups in your area. If you do not see a group you are looking for, try typing the name of the area in the "Name of Group" box (e.g., Winchester,
Charlottesville, Abingdon) and then click the "Search" button. You can also select "All" under "Area Served" and then click on the "Search" button. This will give you an alphabetical listing of all support groups throughout the state. All attempts are made to ensure the accuracy of information, however contact persons should be called prior to attending a meeting to make sure there have not been any changes.Virginia Support Groups
