Donate to BIAV

Thanks to donors like you, BIAV is able to make a difference in the lives of over 10,000 individuals each year. To find out how your donation will touch the brain injury community and/or how our expenses are allocated, see Why Your Donation Matters

Consider these suggested donation options:

  • $75 gives someone one hour of individualized technical assistance and support from an Information and Referral Specialist, who listens, answers their questions, provides personalized information packets, and assists them to find the treatment and care needed.
  • $150 furnishes 50 school nurses and parents with educational handouts to inform them of the common signs of brain injury and what to do if they don’t go away.
  • $300 awards 10 scholarships to persons with brain injury or family caregivers to attend the BIAV annual conference, a full day education and support event, to assist them through the changes they face as a result of a lifelong, often devastating brain injury.
  • $500 sends an adult with brain injury to spend a week at Camp Bruce McCoy, where he/she will build confidence, foster new friendships, overcome challenges and most importantly, have fun.

Donations are tax deductible and you can donate to BIAV online, or if you prefer to send your donation by mail, please fill out our donation form and mail it along with your check to the address below.

Donate to Camp Bruce McCoy

Each year, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia (BIAV) hosts Camp Bruce McCoy, a nationally recognized summer camp program for survivors of brain injury, at the Triple-R Ranch in Chesapeake, VA. Camp McCoy provides a wonderful recreational experience to more than 80 individuals, as well as respite for their families who often provide 24-hour care the remainder of the year.

BIAV is very proud that no one has ever been turned away due to their ability to pay. This is only possible because of the support of donors; their generosity allows us to maintain the quality programming that has been our hallmark for years. Below is a list of things that can be sponsored by groups or individuals, as well as some of the items that are needed (donated or loaned) to run this great program as safely as possible. If you are able to help with any of these items, please contact BIAV at 804-355-5748 or 1-800-444-6443 for details. You can also donate to camp online, please just make a note that the donation is for camp.
