7th Annual BIAV Golf Classic

The Brain Injury Association of Virginia’s 7th Annual Charity Golf Classic was a great success for all involved. Participants from throughout Virginia joined to support BIAV at the beautiful Salisbury Country Club on Columbus Day, October 12. This year, the Williams Mullen team took home the “gross winner” award; winning team Golf Ball on Tee members were Marty Donlan, Chuck Ditsler, Larry Loving and Dennis Waite.

Robert Wrenn, former PGA tour professional, again shared his expertise by providing a bunker clinic ; he also sponsored the “Closest to the Pin Contest". An added addition this year was our “Hole In One Contest”; several players saved their mulligans for this hole and BIAV staff manned it with our helmets on! There was also an abundance of raffle prizes, silent auction items, and delicious food.

Proceeds from the event help BIAV provide help, hope, and healing to persons with brain injury and their families, educate the public on the risks and impact of brain injury, and advocate for legislation and improved medical and community based services.
